We have been mandated by one of Europe's leading hedge funds to identify a leading emerging markets equity manager who can join their existing platform to lead a GEMs fund.

Our client has an outstanding track record delivering 20% plus returns over a five year period in their main global and a strong track record of excellence in the emerging markets arena. Due to existing investor demand they are now looking to develop a global emerging markets equity fund which has already been seeded with $50m of external capital.

Their style is fundamental bottom up analysis leading to a highly concentrated investment style. Historically they have made a significant proportion of their returns from investments in the "BRIC" markets and a clear commitment to growing their exposure to this market.

As a result we are looking to speak to equity portfolio managers who have experience of investing into emerging markets either as a specific regional coverage or in a GEMs fund. The right profile will include the ability to manage the existing EM analysts within the fund and a successful track record that will enable them to build marketing momentum.
